Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive at Nairobi International Airport where you are met by a Duma Afrika treks representative, who will transfer you to your hotel. You will receive a short briefing about the trip ahead of you as well as an updated itinerary. Overnight at the Nairobi Hotel (B&B)
Day 2: Nairobi-Amboseli
As the name suggests our out of Africa Kenya safari begins this morning. After breakfast, your Driver guide will meet you in the hotel. A short briefing on the safari. We drive out of Nairobi to Amboseli National Park and the legendary Mt. Kilimanjaro. Home to the proud and brightly painted Maasai tribe. The acacia woodlands and elephant grasslands of the park shelter an abundance of game. The wildlife include buffalo, lion, cheetah, hyena, zebra and wildebeest. A game drive follows a lunch in the park. Dinner and Overnight at Lodge or Camp.
Day 3: On safari at Amboseli
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Amboseli was established as a reserve in 1968 and gazetted as a National Park in 1974. The Park covers 382 km2, and forms part of the much larger 2890 Km2 Amboseli ecosystem, renowned for its flat plains and abundance of wildlife. Dinner and Overnight at Lodge or Camp.
Day 4: Amboseli- Lake Nakuru
Depart early and drive to Lake Nakuru Lodge situated on the shores of Lake Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch. Afterwards, take an afternoon game drive along the shore. Here you may spot the elusive leopard, the recently introduced Rotschild’s giraffe and many species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Lodge or camp.
Days 5&6:Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara
On Day 5, drive across the Great Rift Valley to reach Kenya’s most famous Game Reserve, Masai Mara, where you will stay for next two nights. Spend the days exploring the rolling hills and plains for a chance to spot black-maned lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals. This is the best park to spot all the big five. A highlight of any Kenya safari. Dinner and Overnight Lodge or Camp.
Day 7: Maasai Mara-Nairobi
After breakfast return to Nairobi. Lunch is served at the famous Carnivore Restaurant / Pampers where all kinds of game and domestic meat – roasted on great spits right in front of you – can be enjoyed. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians with a vast array of delectable dishes and salads Transfer to the airport afterwards to catch your outbound flight. In the event of a late evening flight, an optional day room can be reserved for you to relax and freshen up before you transfer to the airport. We conclude our out of Africa Kenya safari in style.
