Day 1: Arrival –Nairobi
Arrive at the airport, In Nairobi the city in the Sun. Our safari representative will receive you and transfer you to the Norfolk hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 2/3 Nairobi –Mt Kenya safari Club.
Today after our breakfast we proceed to the airport for a flight to Nanyuki. The town lies across the equator. The warm temperature welcomes you to the home of Mount Kenya. We arrive at the airstrip and are transferred to the prestigious Mt Kenya safari club. The historic prestigious private club offers refined elegance and Luxury. Activities in the club include golfing, horse riding, and swimming, tennis and health club and trout fishing.
Our game drives will be at the Olpajeta conservancy which is home to Rhino, lion, elephant , giraffe and other big game. The Jane Goodall institute has a sanctuary here for the endangered chimpanzees. Enjoy meeting this primates face to face with their cheeky and intelligent behaviour. Dinner and overnight at the Mount Kenya safari club.
Day 3/4 Samburu Game Reserve
This morning we head out to the airstrip for our flight to Samburu. Samburu is wild rugged and utmost beautiful. Wildlife congregate at the banks of Ewaso Nyiro for the lush green vegetation and water to cool off from the north arid heat. We check in at Larsens camp .Samburu is a protected area and home to the endemics of the north that include reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and grevys Zebra. Alternate between the rewarding gamedrives and spending time in the coziness of the camp under canvas. The Park’s bright colors , the contrasts between the bush, wonderful blue skies and red sand are a memorable capture on film.
Day 5/6 -Masai Mara Game Reserve
Today we fly over the panoramic views of the great rift valley, the lakes on the valleys floor and the African plains with beaming activity. The next two days will be at the prestigious Mara Safari club offering delightful and unwinding nights under canvas. Game drives, bush walks, Hot air balloon, cultural walks, Sundowners await you here. Masai Mara is a hive of wildlife activity that surely with all the stories seen and heard about African wildlife will not disappoint. Our game drives engage you mind, body and soul fully rewarding you on your African trip. Game viewing is never boring from sighting lions stalking prey, leopard retrieving a kill from tall acacia branches, lions mating or on honeymoon literally to the Jumping and pronking of gazelles. On the plains, large herds of plains herbivores are in action. If you need to reflect, unwind or just relax and pause then Mara is the place to be.
Day 7: Nairobi
Today we bid farewell to the African plains and catch a flight back to Nairobi. A Day room is available at the Norfolk. Afternnon at leisure. Dinner and afterwards a transfer to the airport for your flight home.
