A Scenic Kenya Flying Safari experinece

We recently took a scenic Kenya Flying safari across the Rift valley . The landscapes are among the most scenic and dramatic in Africa. The ecosystem is diverse. The landscapes range from Afro Alpine moorland, desert, indigenous forests savannah, wetlands to the coral gardens in the Indian Ocean. Flying over the Rift valley that boasts of six lakes, some of which are fresh waters was a sight to behold.  The Rift valley below had a lot to showcase. These included free rolling valleys, hills, Plains and mountains. Kenya is also blessed with Mount Kenya that lies across the equator with snow peaks. The views on the mountain on this particular shiny day will remain at the back of our minds forever. The grass, trees, shrubs, wildlife and birds make our flora and fauna an ecosystem to envy. All these as we settled for breakfast at the foothills of Mount Kenya.  The surroundings so real and close with nature. The clean fresh air so cool and refreshing.

From here our flight headed to northern Kenya. Still in the rift valley. Here lies the hot Suguta valley. This is the only place that sand dunes can be seen in Kenya. At the end of the valley lies a seasonal, soda lake, Lake Logipi. It is placed directly south of lake Turkana.

The lake when filled with shallow water is almost always home to huge congregations of flamingos. The diverse colors of the seasonal salty lakes give it a unique feature. We experienced the ways of life of the locals. From the lakes they harvest salt which earns them a living. The temperatures are soaring but the views are beyond your imagination. The rift valley gorge composes of exceptional areas that have not been explored. We decided to continue our journey to The Kerio Valley. This has breath taking scenarios. We flew over The Lake Turkana also called the Jade Sea. It is the only Lake desert in the world.

We trans versed the Masai Mara plains. This gave us the best aerial shots of the plains below. It is not easy to spot animals from above but on occasions you get to see where others can’t. The plains have large numbers of animal populations. On our way back we flew over the Mukutan gorge. A spectacular escarpment in Laikipia. Down below is the Laikipia nature conservancy. A private conservancy with among the highest number of Elephants, Rhino and Buffalo. We landed back at the airstrip just after Sunset.

A Kenya flying Safari will get you to the most unreachable parts of the land. The scenic views are both breathtaking and memorable. These safaris can be arranged to other parks in Kenya and Tanzania.
