Meru National park is found in Kenya northern frontier. The park is un spoilt and still retains  its natural beauty.  The northern park is thorny bush, grasslands and some open woodland. The park also has Raffia and Doum palms with riverine forests that attract a lot of birdlife. Meru National park is home to the big five. Also seen here are a number of herbivore species including Reedbuck, hartebeests, water buck and various species of snakes.

Meru National Park  is former home of Joy and George Adamson. Spectacular views of Mt Kenya are seen from here on a clear day. Adamson falls and Tana River also form part of the attractions.
